Mililani Mauka Homes for Sale

The Newer Side of Mililani

If George and Weezy were living in Central Oahu, they’d be living in Mililani Mauka! The newer half of the master-planned community of Mililani, Mililani Mauka sits on the mountain-side (Mauka means Mountain in Hawaiian) of the Interstate H-2 Veterans Memorial Freeway. Built on what used to be plantation fields, Mililani Mauka is “centrally” located on Oahu, being approximately  20 miles from Downtown Honolulu, 14 miles from Haleiwa Town on the North Shore. Home construction started in the early 1990’s with the newest inventory completed in 2007.  Majority of the homes are single family dwellings, with some spattering of townhouses.  Lot sizes tend to be in the 5,000-6,000 square foot range, however there are some larger perimeter lots over 10,000 square feet. The relatively newer builds, newer schools, a strict neighborhood association (Mililani Town Association) may be what attracts and retains many young families to this neighborhood. The population of of this neighborhood was just above 21,000 per the 2010 census.
